First Aid Instructor Development Program

The Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor Development Program trains and certifies Instructors to organize and deliver First Aid & CPR courses.

The Instructor Development Program trains teens (18 years and older) Instructors to apply an individualized approach focusing on injury prevention, learning styles and a variety of instructional techniques that consider the abilities, ages and needs of each candidate. Our First Aid & CPR Instructors are trained to encourage each participant's personal rate of achievement, recognizing this will vary from one person to the next.

This course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR courses.

First Aid Services Teams

The Red Cross First Aid Services Teams services are widely sought by the organizers of major events in several locations across Canada. They rely on the expertise of the Red Cross to organize and manage quality first aid services. Annually, the Red Cross volunteers participate in more than a hundred public events.

Babysitting Course

You are 11 years old or older and you've decided to become a babysitter; are you prepared for this important responsibility? For example, do you know how to:

  • Feed a baby or change a diaper?
  • Prepare a simple meal?
  • Play games with children of all ages?
  • Prevent injuries and keep children safe?
  • Handle an emergency if one happens?

A good babysitter knows all of these things and more. Learning them can be easy and fun with the Red Cross Babysitting Course. The newly revised Babysitting Course is updated for today's youth.

For many young adolescents, babysitting is their first job, and the Red Cross can help them become real "pros"! Prospective parents look for babysitting training when they select their babysitters. Get your "ticket" and learn valuable tips for managing your "business", as well as:
